**Company Overview:** Torque Consulting is a leading engineering consulting firm that specializes in the ventilation industry. With over 20 years of experience, we are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team.

**Role Overview:** As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and executing projects from initial design through to installation. Your primary responsibilities will involve producing technical drawings, managing projects on-site, and ensuring that all designs meet the specified requirements.

  • **Project Management:** Manage projects from design through to installation, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • **Site Surveys:** Conduct site surveys and measurements to produce accurate technical drawings and plans for client approval.
  • **AutoCAD:** Utilize AutoCAD software to produce 2D and isometric manufacturing drawings, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
  • **Design Development:** Draft and prepare layout drawings for structures, components, and devices within the commercial kitchen ventilation systems.
  • **Drawing Preparation:** Prepare detailed drawings for sheet metal components, including calculations for dimensions and allowances.
  • **Data Compilation:** Compile data and create specification sheets to guide the manufacturing process.
  • **Safety and Compliance:** Ensure that all designs and installations comply with safety procedures and construction standards.
  • **Project Documentation:** Utilize Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) for project management and documentation.

**Qualifications & Experience:**

  • **Project Management Experience:** Proven experience in project management, particularly in the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
  • **AutoCAD Proficiency:** Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to produce both 2D and isometric drawings.
  • **Technical Drawing Experience:** Experience in creating technical drawings for sheet metal components and other structural elements.
  • **Travel Requirements:** Willingness to travel to project sites as required, with flexibility for overnight stays (covered by the company).

**Working Hours:**

  • **Standard Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on project requirements.
  • **Travel Requirements:** Overnight hotel stays may be required due to project travel, with costs covered by the company.
