Current Opportunity
Expro is seeking a Lead Quality Control Inspector to join our Supply Chain team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Quality Control inspection support to the Supply Chain Function.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Procurement team and Global Product Line Project Teams to ensure products are thoroughly inspected and deemed fit for purpose before being released to inventory.
- Adhere to Supply Chain Inspection Procedures.
- Schedule QC inspections and coordinate with the Supply Chain QC Coordinator to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct QC inspections (visual, dimensional, gauging, and functional as necessary) and monitor activities on newly manufactured, repaired, or modified products in accordance with purchase requirements.
- Review documentation associated with QC inspection requirements to assess conformance.
- Complete inspection and release documentation upon finishing QC tasks.
- Generate Non-conformance Reports for products that fail to meet Expro's specified standards.
- Maintain inspection measuring equipment in a safe, clean, and calibrated condition.
- Ensure QC Inspector Visual Acuity records are updated annually.
- Perform inspections and testing at customer facilities within a specified radius.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar Quality Control role.
- Familiarity with interpreting industry specifications.
- Understanding of materials and the ability to review material test reports.
- Proficiency in various QC inspection techniques and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and surface comparators.
- Experience with specialized QC inspection techniques and equipment, such as CMM Arrn and Hardness Testers.
- Professional certification from a recognized provider is preferred, such as ASNT or equivalent NDT Certification, AWS CWI/CSWIP 3.1, or equivalent.
- Background in Oil & Gas, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Custom Applications (Expro Insight, E-Trak, and Global Audit System) is a plus, though training will be provided.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Ability to manage workload and schedule effectively.
