Role Objective:
The Store Manager is tasked with assembling and leading a high-performing store team to ensure they:
- Meet established objectives
- Implement brand standards effectively
- Deliver operational excellence
- Meet financial benchmarks
- Exhibit proactive and positive teamwork
The Store Manager is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience and embodying the brand's vision, while also supporting and mentoring the Assistant Store Manager and the store team in their personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Inspire and motivate the team by clearly communicating the store's vision, enhancing the Salomon brand's influence
- Oversee all aspects of the store's performance metrics: personnel, operations, finance, and customer satisfaction to ensure consistently high results
Customer Engagement
- Serve as a role model, ensuring the team comprehends customer needs and profiles to provide consistently high-quality service
- Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor, engaging with customers and team members
Operational Management
- Effectively oversee store inventory levels to meet market and customer demands
- Implement operational best practices in collaboration with the District Manager
- Ensure compliance with safety and health standards, maintaining a secure environment for both staff and customers
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Ensure all team members understand and adhere to company policies
Sales and Financial Oversight
- Manage resources to achieve budgeted operating expenses and enhance the in-store customer experience
- Monitor loss prevention strategies to safeguard company inventory and assets
- Analyze sales trends to optimize product selection and maximize revenue
- Deliver P&L and retail KPIs in alignment with budget and forecasts
Recruitment, Training, and Development
- Lead the recruitment process for the in-store team
- Collaborate with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure effective onboarding and continuous training for all team members
- Support and facilitate personal career development opportunities for the store team

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a leadership role within retail

- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships
- A solid understanding of retail operations is advantageous
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Motivated and eager to learn
- Proficient in MS Office and key performance metrics
- Familiarity with Salomon products is a plus
