CSS is a distinguished leader in the manufacturing sector, committed to excellence and innovation. We are currently expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join us on a permanent basis.


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday – 8am – 5pm

42.5 hours per week (including breaks: 30 mins unpaid, 15 mins paid).

Reporting Structure:
This role will report directly to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with the Production team.

Compensation:
A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with experience.

Role Overview:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be tasked with establishing and sustaining a robust quality control framework within the organization.

Utilizing our established protocols, you will concentrate on the following key areas and swiftly showcase enhancements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Technical and Operations departments to pinpoint critical areas and limitations in the current quality control systems.
  • Enhance and refine existing quality assurance processes to develop a comprehensive QC package. This should encompass an end-to-end process with a strong emphasis on procedures and audits.
  • Identify and implement quality checkpoints across all warehousing and production areas.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with workshop teams, combining practical and theoretical knowledge to proactively elevate quality standards at the source.
  • Create and implement a 'standards' document for onboarding, continuous training, and auditing purposes.
  • Act as the primary contact for quality-related issues raised by Project Management and Sales, which may involve site visits to facilitate issue resolution and provide guidance to installation teams.

Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in quality control and auditing methodologies.
  • Strong background in joinery and carpentry.
  • Familiarity with fire door compliance according to BS476 standards.
  • Desirable experience in fire door installation and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in supervisory or managerial roles.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
