Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Controller to join our team on a permanent basis. As an Aircraft Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and punctual delivery of flights across our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flight Monitoring: Maintain a flight watch on all flights during your shift, ensuring that all flights operate on-time and safely.
  2. Flight Planning and Slot Management: Monitor flight plans and slots for all airports on our network, ensuring that schedules are optimized and delays are minimized.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments and external agents to manage the daily flying programme, responding to live operational occurrences and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed.
  4. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Use your aviation experience and commercial awareness to identify and resolve operational issues, making informed decisions to ensure the smooth operation of flights.

Requirements:

  1. Aviation Experience: A minimum of 1 year's experience within a commercial airline operations department, with a strong understanding of aviation regulations and procedures.
  2. Commercial Awareness: A commercial awareness and understanding of the aviation industry, including market trends and competitor activity.
  3. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, external agents, and stakeholders.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, including diaries and email, as well as experience with PPS (Flight Planning) system.
  5. Flexibility and Adaptability: A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work a 12-hour shift and respond to changing operational requirements.
