About the Role

Vantage Spaces is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at our head office. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and refining our financial processes in a cash-positive, expanding company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Uphold the company values of Caring, Honesty, and Endurance, and ensure accurate business transactions and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate on month-end close and year-end accounts with team and external accountants, and conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and monitor key business metrics.
  • Financial Operations: Manage bookkeeping, VAT returns, recurring invoicing, and weekly pay runs, and maintain internal financial controls and optimise debt collection.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement in finance operations.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller who has:

  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong experience with monthly closing processes, forecasting, budgeting, and customer billing.
  • Organised and analytical with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Xero financial reporting.
