About the Position
HCRG Workforce Solutions is seeking two dedicated Placement Coordinators to join our dynamic commissioning and placements team. This team plays a crucial role in securing external placements, collaborating with our internal fostering unit, and providing support to Placement and Procurement Officers during duty shifts.
Salary and Work Schedule
£19.13-£21.04 Umbrella
37 hours per week
Ongoing contract
Hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days in the office weekly, which may increase during peak periods.
Initial Requirements
During the initial adjustment phase, the selected candidates will be required to work full-time in the office. Responsibilities include:
- Responding promptly to information or situations that pose risks to vulnerable children.
- Assisting in identifying appropriate placements for children in care.
- Contacting and coordinating with internal and independent providers to find suitable placement matches.
- Collecting and disseminating information related to placements to optimize resource use and develop tracking tools.
- Collaborating closely with various teams to assess carer availability and suitability.
- Working with other Trust placement teams to gather local insights when sourcing placements outside the immediate area.
- Maintaining accountability for the quality of work and actively seeking to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Engaging cooperatively with colleagues in social care teams, treating them with respect.
- Presenting evidence and information in various forums as required.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications, with a commitment to further education.
- Experience in children's placements within a social care environment.
- Strong communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
- Proficient IT skills.
- A collaborative spirit, self-motivation, and the ability to reflect and act independently.
- The capacity to remain focused under challenging circumstances.
- Multitasking abilities and the capability to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability in work practices.
