We are a leading recruitment agency specializing in the placement of skilled professionals in the Electric Vehicle technology sector.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our client's team on a contract basis in North West London. The initial contract duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Cycle: Prepare and distribute Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs), maintaining logs of delivery schedules and records.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Sourcing: Review electrical or mechanical schematics and drawings to identify materials that need to be sourced.
- Data Management: Maintain the approved supplier list, tracking supplier certifications, key commercial and technical data.
- Prepare and deliver briefs, updates, and reports as required by project teams.
- Build Support: Support the in-house build of prototypes by tracking serial numbers, creating part kits, and re-stocking and tracking sub-assemblies.
- Manage collections of outbound goods, preparing shipping documentation and packing goods before collection.
- Manage delivery of incoming goods, including unpacking and stocking goods.
- Assist with Goods In by receiving and unboxing orders and checking that the delivery is correct.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in procuring a variety of commodities and materials, including custom machined parts & fabrications, electrical and mechanical consumables, and tooling & equipment.
- Ability to work autonomously and across the business, other teams, and at all levels.
- Understanding of shipping and warehousing processes.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
Desirable Qualifications
- Capability to understand electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
