About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Advisor to join our established HSE Team at Leonardo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and improving our health, safety, and environmental policies, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSE matters to various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture and best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve health, safety, and environmental standards and practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain safety data sheets, contractor and visitor induction programs, and emergency preparedness plans.
  • Lead on HSE projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements and compliance.
  • Knowledge of ISO Management Systems (ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001).
  • Experience of running and auditing HSE management systems.
  • Understanding of safety culture development and promotion.
  • NEBOSH General certification (minimum) or NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ level 6.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office packages.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingsness to travel and work at other sites.
