Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our talented engineering team at Innovate. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and constructing innovative systems that meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of precision machinery and electro-mechanical systems, utilizing your expertise in SolidWorks software and 3D CAD.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of small project design teams, ensuring high-quality design solutions that meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to conduct classical engineering analysis, including stress, fatigue, and vibration, using conventional analysis and computer simulation.
  • Conduct laboratory testing to validate design outputs and ensure they meet design inputs.
  • Develop and maintain engineering reports to support failure analysis, new product designs, and other official paperwork.
  • Work closely with larger engineering groups to integrate drive, control, and electrical systems into equipment designs.
  • Provide technical assistance to field engineering, test, and production engineering teams, as well as project management and sales teams.
  • Support the sales team in creating quotes, proposals, and other sales collateral.
  • Apply procedures for casting, fabrication, moulding, and machining, and possess familiarity with a 3D CAD program, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Oversee workload and design output while leading a project design team's technical efforts.
  • Utilize your experience in the Defence or related sectors, particularly in R&D and manufacturing, to drive innovation and excellence.
