We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the Yorkshire Region. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be working across our West Yorkshire sites, including HMP Leeds Category B remand, HMP Wakefield Category A, and HMP Wealstun Category C.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on your caseload.
  • Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision.
  • Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews.

Requirements:

  • Registered professional with current registration (GMC).
  • Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Approved under section of the MHS 1983.
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD.
  • Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation.
