Transfer Station Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our transfer station, ensuring the safe and efficient management of waste.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of 11 staff members, including Team Leaders, Senior Mobile Plant Operatives, and Mobile Plant Operatives.
- Monitor and maintain contractor performance, ensuring compliance with RAMS and LOLER regulations.
- Oversee mobile plant maintenance, including regular servicing and repairs.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including toolbox talks and safety alerts.
- Liaise with Transport to optimize vehicle routing and utilization.
- Ensure site maintenance is completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage permit-to-work permits and ensure compliance with RAs and COSHH data sheets.
- Conduct probation reviews, record absences, and manage holiday requirements.
- Ensure routine checks and servicing of alarms, fire extinguishers, PAT testing, diesel tank inspections, and fire pumps.
- Proven experience in managing a team in a similar environment.
- Self-motivated and organized individual with excellent prioritization skills.
- Full UK driving license is essential for this position.
- COTC TSH4/NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent certification.
