Job Title: Education Support Assistant - Autism Specialist

Job Type: Full-time, Full Academic Year, Term-time Only

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Education Support Assistant - Autism Specialist to join our team at EdEx - Education Recruitment. As an Education Support Assistant - Autism Specialist, you will provide support for pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 with ASD requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school setting.
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing tailored programs to meet the needs of pupils with ASD.
  • Help manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and inclusive space for all pupils.
  • Collaborate with the inclusion team to provide high-quality support to pupils with ASD.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with ASD.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Special Education).
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and creating an inclusive environment for all pupils.
