Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team in a global travel role. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting customer sites worldwide to perform maintenance, repairs, and services on our customers' equipment.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment at customer sites to ensure conformance with manufacturer's specifications.
  2. Attending to breakdowns and fault finding on equipment.
  3. Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet.
  4. Collaborating with the service supervisor to ensure seamless service delivery.
  5. Providing training and mentorship to junior engineers.
  6. Conducting inspections and repairs of equipment at our depot as required, in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and regulatory requirements.
  7. Ensuring that all equipment is safe for operation and reporting any defects or deficiencies to the appropriate manager.

Requirements

  1. Relevant qualifications, such as City and Guilds, NVQ, or SVQ in Construction Plant/HGV/Light Vehicle.
  2. Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  3. Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  4. A flexible and positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.
