About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Victim Support Wiltshire. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime and retaining and developing contracts for services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime
  • Support and manage operational staff to retain and develop contracts for services
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and management team to achieve the implementation of workforce plans and develop the service to maximise positive outcomes for those accessing the service
  • Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services, and work with professionals collaboratively to improve access to and quality of services
Requirements
  • Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the impact of crime on victims and witnesses
  • Understanding of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding, and risk assessments
  • Practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
  • Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
  • Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support, and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals
