Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team at Elvet Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, particularly in the water industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake detailed design work on below ground wastewater and clean water infrastructure projects for water company clients.
  2. Develop and agree design philosophies and fundamentals.
  3. Manage and allocate CAD output from technicians.
  4. Take personal responsibility for delivering design output to agreed time, cost, and quality requirements.
  5. Assist Project Managers in ensuring project delivery on time and to budget.
  6. Represent the company at meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals.
  7. Conduct site visits to gather information and data.
  8. Liaise with statutory service providers.
  9. Conduct documentation and drawing reviews.
  10. Liaise with clients, design teams, and contractors.

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge and experience of wastewater and clean water infrastructure design, including attenuation design and flow balancing.
  2. Good understanding of design delivery, health, safety, and environmental processes.
  3. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Good numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce reports in clear English.
  6. Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial.

Qualifications:

  1. Educated to Degree level or equivalent (HNC/HND Diploma).
  2. Full UK driving licence.

Salary:

  1. Design Engineer: Up to £45,000 plus package.
  2. Senior Design Engineer: Up to £60,000 plus package.
