Job Summary:

The Data, Analysis and Insight (DAI) team at the Ministry of Justice is responsible for leading the organization to become a data-driven entity. As a Senior Statistical Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support with the monthly external publication of Management Information.
  • Support project work that improves the range of HMCTS published information.
  • Lead on the monthly publication of HMCTS Management Information and briefing to CEO, Ministers, and Press Office.
  • Support new requests for publication of Ad-Hoc Management Information, taking products through from concept to finished product.
  • Support the delivery of the Catalogue of Open and Shared data project, which includes working with the Data Engineering team and Management Information teams to productionize this information.

Requirements:

  • Experience of communicating high-quality analysis to a range of audiences.
  • Experience of using guidance from the Office for Statistics Regulation, Government Statistical Service, and the Code of Practice for Official Statistics to help design and/or deliver products.
  • Experience in using analytical products and software to assess data and share insights.
  • Confident in building relationships with stakeholders to offer advice and recommendations.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales, managing priorities, and ensuring delivery of quality products.
  • Previous experience working as a member of a project team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in publishing Official Statistics or Management Information.
  • Experience of using PowerBI and SQL.
