About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Leader to join our team at AM FRESH Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a specific area of our production on your shift, ensuring that production plans are met, and line managing colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure Health & Safety and Hygiene standards are implemented, adhered to, and maintained within the Manufacturing area.
  2. Manage raw material management from stock through to maximising yield and stock utilisation throughout the manufacturing process.
  3. Monitor and manage costs, and record and monitor production data on a daily, weekly, and annual basis to monitor performance against agreed budgets.
  4. Oversee the management of Packaging stock and consumption throughout the manufacturing process.
  5. Evaluate and escalate all repairs, maintenance, and servicing of production equipment and site facilities.
  6. Collaborate with the AMFresh HR team to manage, develop, motivate, and retain staff in the production teams; recruit new people, manage holidays, absence management, identify training and development needs, and manage disciplinary and capability issues.
  7. Ensure all technical and legislative requirements are fulfilled during the production process, including traceability of product and packaging.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Production Shift Leader with:

  • Experience of managing a team in a production environment, ideally within the fresh produce sector.
  • Experience of managing staff, including recruitment, performance management, and appraisals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
