About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join our team at our Peterborough AMK site. As a key member of our Production Team, you will be responsible for leading a specific area of our Production on your shift, ensuring that Production plans are met, and maintaining Health & Safety and Hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Health & Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that Health & Safety and Hygiene standards are implemented, adhered to, and maintained within the Manufacturing area.
  2. Raw Material Management: Ensure systems and understanding are in place for raw material management from stock through to maximising yield and stock utilisation throughout the manufacturing process.
  3. Cost Management: Ensure that costs are managed and that production data is recorded and monitored on a daily, weekly, and annual basis in order to monitor performance weekly against agreed budgets.
  4. Packaging Management: Ensure systems and understanding are in place to oversee the management of Packaging stock and consumption throughout the manufacturing process.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Escalate all repairs, maintenance, and servicing of production equipment and site facilities.
  6. Team Management: With the support of the AMFresh HR team, take responsibility for managing, developing, motivating, and retaining staff in the production teams; recruiting new people, managing holidays, absence management, identifying training and development needs to ensure that the productions teams have the right skills, and managing disciplinary and capability issues.
  7. Technical and Legislative Requirements: Ensure all technical and legislative requirements are fulfilled during the production process, including traceability of product and packaging.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Production Shift Manager who has:

  1. Experience of managing a team in a production environment, ideally within the food sector.
  2. Experience of managing staff, including HR requirements, recruitment, performance management, and appraisals.
  3. Flexibility and adaptability.
