Senior Test Development Engineer – £50k-£65k – Test Rig Design

Platform Recruitment is partnering with a leading robotics and automation company to find experienced Test Development Engineers. In this role, you will design and develop custom test rigs for comprehensive testing. Your expertise will guide the creation of reliable and robust systems through the development of unique test environments, hands-on testing, and experimental methodologies. You'll be involved in electro-mechanical assembly, and testing of components, systems, and later transfer to manufacture.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and build bespoke test rigs to meet specific client requirements

• Conduct hands-on testing and experimental work to ensure product reliability and quality

• Assemble and test electro-mechanical devices, including components and systems

• Lead design verification and reliability testing to ensure products meet client specifications

• Facilitate the transfer of products to manufacture, ensuring seamless production

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in designing and building custom test rigs

• Previous experience testing electro-mechanical products, with a focus on reliability and quality

• Strong technical analysis and documentation skills, with the ability to create detailed reports

• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing, including component and system testing

• Proven experience in reliability testing methodologies, with a focus on product quality and safety

• Ability to develop test scripts and procedures to ensure efficient testing

Benefits:

The salary for this role will be between £50,000-£65,000, depending on experience. Additionally, the company offers a generous benefits package, including a bonus, private medical insurance, and a good pension scheme.
