About the Role

We are looking for a skilled sales professional to drive business growth in the North of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for managing sales and building strong customer relationships within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development
    • Identify new business opportunities and manage the sales cycle to maximize sales potential.
    • Maintain and develop relationships through structured site visits and communications with current and potential customers.
    • Identify and manage key accounts.
  • Product Expertise
    • Conduct on-site sales visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
    • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, follow system processes, and use the system to support sales development.
  • Marketing and Communications
    • Organize and attend mini-exhibitions and symposiums.
    • Assist with marketing activities, participate in sales and training videos and webinars, and report on competitor activity and market conditions.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Familiarity with Organic/Medicinal/Scale-up and Process Chemists in Pharmaceutical, CRO, Biotech, BioPharma, Research, and Chemical organizations.
    • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • BSc or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Understanding of products in process and organic chemistry.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Dynamic, self-motivated, and well-organized with an eye for detail.
    • Team player with strong decision-making capabilities.
    • Flexible and eager to engage at all levels.
