About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Delivery Driver to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for delivering and collecting plant and equipment across the UK using a 26t Beavertail vehicle.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Receive delivery and collection paperwork, verifying item availability and fleet numbers.
- Safely load and unload plant equipment using appropriate techniques.
- Plan efficient delivery routes based on priority and time constraints.
- Obtain signatures from site personnel and document any defects or missing equipment.
- Adhere to company policies regarding Operator Licence, Driving Hours, and Working Time Directive.
- Complete mandatory training programs, including DCPC, in-house, and FORS.
What We Look For:
- Full clean driving licence up to and including C1 (C or C+E advantageous).
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Driver CPC Training.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of general plant and equipment.
- Safe Load and Securing Training (NPORS or equivalent).
