About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and flexible HGV Delivery Driver to join our team based in Stevenage. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting plant and equipment across the UK.

About the Team

We currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 9000 trucks, vans, and cars, together with over 20,000 items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from our Regional Supply Centre.

About the Job

As a Delivery Driver, you will be based in Stevenage and will be responsible for:

  • Completing and recording all daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Receiving and processing delivery and collection paperwork.
  • Ensuring safe and secure loading and unloading practices.
  • Planning delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of plant and equipment.
  • Obtaining signatures from site personnel and recording any defects or missing equipment.
  • Complying with company policies and regulations regarding driving hours and working time directives.
What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full clean driving licence up to and including C1, with C or C+E being advantageous.
  • A digital tachograph card.
  • Driver CPC training.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of general plant and equipment.
  • Safe load and securing training (NPORS or equivalent).
