We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in the development, management, and implementation of our cardiac rehabilitation service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the ongoing development and management of our cardiac rehabilitation service to facilitate the rehabilitation of medical and surgical cardiac patients to the optimum level of physical and psychological wellbeing.
- Manage your own caseload of patients autonomously and undertake specialist nursing procedures, including coronary heart disease risk factor assessment and referrals to relevant specialists as necessary.
- Work as a team member within the Cardiac Rehabilitation team to deliver a high standard of specialist nursing to cardiac patients and their families across all phases of cardiac rehabilitation.
- Strong cardiac experience and evidence of post-registration education in cardiac care.
- Teaching and addressing module and basic and advanced life support skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
