About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our software engineering team at Saffron QA. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute manual, exploratory, and automation testing strategies to identify and report defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software features.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
  • Conduct thorough testing of complex systems, leveraging numerical skills and finance knowledge to identify potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including development teams, product managers, and executive leadership, to ensure that testing requirements are met and that defects are properly documented and prioritized.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies, working closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of software features.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with manual, exploratory, and automation testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Typescript, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience with Playwright or Cypress, including creating, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize defects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary band of £60-80,000 per annum, plus equity in the company. The role requires working in our central London office three days per week, with the remaining days remote. Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship or 100% remote working.
