About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at TalkTalk Group. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sourcing plan to drive cost reduction and improve supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a category strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Manage commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement a supplier engagement strategy.
  • Monitor and report on category performance, including savings achieved and supplier performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and category management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement and category management, with a strong understanding of commercial contracts and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the telecommunications industry.
