TB Advanced Clinical Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced TB Clinical Nurse Specialist or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our dynamic nurse-led TB team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and diagnosing TB, LTBI, and NTM diseases, synthesizing results and information from multiple sources to develop highly complex plans of care. They will prescribe and supervise treatments, risk assess and deliver contact tracing and TB incident management, demonstrating high levels of competence.
They will also support the development of new-entrant TB screening programmes and deliver BCG vaccinations as and when needed. Under the supervision of the TB Consultant Nurse, they will manage the TB Service's daily operations, including line-managing junior colleagues, triage, and action referrals, providing nurse-led outpatient and telephone clinics, and performing ward and community outreach and home visits.
The ideal candidate will be a confident teacher, a strong advocate, and computer literate, with excellent communication abilities and clear spoken and written English language. They will also be able to facilitate and chair interdisciplinary meetings at both local and regional levels.

Requirements- Master's level Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant master's degree
- Evidence of completing recognized TB education modules
- Non-medical prescriber (evidenced within professional body registration)
- Full UK driving license
