We are seeking an experienced TB Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our dynamic nurse-led TB team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing TB services across East Dorset. As a TB Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for investigating and diagnosing TB, LTBI, and NTM diseases, synthesizing results and information from multiple sources to develop highly complex plans of care.
You will prescribe and supervise treatments, risk assess and deliver contact tracing and TB incident management, demonstrating high levels of competence. You will also support the development of new-entrant TB screening programmes and deliver BCG vaccinations as and when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and diagnose TB, LTBI, and NTM diseases
- Prescribe and supervise treatments
- Risk assess and deliver contact tracing and TB incident management
- Support the development of new-entrant TB screening programmes
- Deliver BCG vaccinations as and when needed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Master's level Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant master's degree
- Evidence of completing recognized TB education modules
- A non-medical prescriber qualification
- A full UK driving license
