We are seeking an experienced and qualified Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at North Lakes Children's Services. Our services provide therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18, and we are committed to improving the resilience, self-esteem, and abilities of all the young people we work with.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a small team of staff to provide high-quality care and support to young people
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each young person
- Work closely with the Residential Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the well-being of young people
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Have an understanding of the issues that face young people in care
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Be willing to learn and develop your skills and knowledge
- Be able to work well as part of a small team
- Have a full, clean UK driving licence and be able to cover at other Residential Homes as and when needed
- A sleep-in allowance of £62.64 per night
- Shift Rotation: 2 days on, 2 days off, with staggered start times ranging from 8am, 12noon or 2pm
- 6 weeks annual leave entitlement
