About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EHCP Coordinator to join our team at Mencap. As an EHCP Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the EHCP review process for existing learners and those due to join our programme, ensuring that EHCPs are of good quality, up-to-date, and completed in a timely manner in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders, including learners, families, and colleagues, to ensure that EHCPs are tailored to meet the individual needs of our learners.
  • Support the Programme Coordinator with bringing in referrals to the programme, attending transitions events, and meeting with prospective learners and families.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including learners, families, and colleagues, to ensure that EHCPs are implemented effectively.
Requirements
  • Professional conduct and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of delivering against targets and deadlines.
  • Experience of being involved in an EHCP review process and supporting learners with SEND.
  • Experience of working with young SEND learners and their families.
  • A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent).
  • Good time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
