About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting service users with complex needs, empowering them to achieve their goals and enhance their well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with service users, understanding their unique circumstances and tailoring interventions accordingly.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify service users' strengths, challenges, and goals related to daily living activities, work, leisure, and social participation.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, functional skills, and overall quality of life.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, sharing expertise and contributing to holistic care planning.
- Promote the value of occupational therapy within the organization and wider healthcare community.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling the formation and maintenance of strong therapeutic alliances with service users facing diverse and complex needs.
- Proficiency in basic word processing and IT applications.
- A high standard of written communication skills.
- The ability to effectively advocate for occupational therapy within multidisciplinary teams and the broader organization.

- The capacity to work independently, setting priorities and managing time effectively.
- A commitment to self-reflection and critical appraisal of own performance.
- The ability to empower staff by facilitating the development and application of their knowledge and skills in practice.
- Strong presentation skills.

- The capacity to identify strategies that enhance service effectiveness.
Essential qualities include:

Essential requirements include:
- The ability to assess complex health and well-being needs, developing, monitoring, and reviewing care plans to address those needs.
- The capacity to undertake clinical risk assessments and apply effective risk management strategies.
- The ability to independently manage a challenging caseload of patients.
- Specialist clinical skills relevant to the target service user group.
A working knowledge of models of human occupation tools would be advantageous.
