Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with the preparation of claims for loss and expense, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Assist with the preparation of adjudication documentation, maintaining a thorough understanding of contract law and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Draft written reports, setting out process, conclusions, and recommendations, effectively communicating complex information to stakeholders.
  • Operate Standard Forms of Contract (JCT / NEC / FIDIC) with ease, applying knowledge of contract law and dispute resolution principles.
  • Provide strategic advice at all stages of the construction life cycle, driving business growth and development.
  • Contribute actively to business development, identifying opportunities and implementing effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be MRICS Qualified or equivalent, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A minimum of 2 years post-degree qualification experience is required, with a proven track record of success in commercial management and dispute resolution.
  • A working knowledge of dispute resolution procedures and the principles of contract law is essential, as is experience of major construction and engineering projects.
  • The ability to prepare, assess, and interrogate construction costs is critical, as is a keen interest in working towards a Construction Law MSc or Post Graduate Diploma (or equivalent).
