About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Tesco. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and supporting the management of our pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of our pharmacies, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Dispense medication accurately and efficiently, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
- Provide information and advice to customers on common ailments, symptoms, and products, ensuring they receive the best possible service.
- Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and respond to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines.
- Support and deliver pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed, maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with the supervision and development of other members of the pharmacy team.
- Maintain a personal development record with the GPhC and complete corporate and departmental training.
- Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy and maintain annual registration with the GPhC.
Requirements
- A pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
- Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician.
- Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
