Job Title: French Speaking Associate Accountant

Halliday Marx is seeking a highly skilled French Speaking Associate Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis.

This role involves working 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate production of financial statements, CT600, and management accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver reporting packs, including monthly bookkeeping and payroll, using cloud-based solutions such as Sage 50 or QuickBooks Online.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, responding to their needs, and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Perform company incorporation and setup tasks, including coordination of UK bank account opening, employment contracts, and employee benefits.
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with clients, both internally and externally.
  • Perform Company Secretary duties for clients, including use of cloud-based solutions to maintain books and produce reports.
  • Process monthly payrolls, including general payroll queries and related issues.
  • Prepare HMRC-related returns, including monthly PAYE/NI submissions and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Perform administrative tasks and other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in French is essential.
  • Graduate with an Accounting degree or AAT level 4 Qualified.
  • Excellent double-entry bookkeeping, payroll, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and similar accounting solutions is advantageous.
