Senior/Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our nuclear safety team, you will play a vital role in assessing risks and developing safety cases for our nuclear clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authoring complex safety cases to justify and support critical decision-making in the design, operation, and/or decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
  • Influencing client strategic direction to support obtaining a nuclear site licence for innovative designs.
  • Networking to develop business pipelines within your capability.
  • Leading technical delivery of projects, addressing technically complex problems, and presenting solutions to stakeholders.
  • Delivering excellent technical work, paying attention to detail without missing the bigger picture.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with diverse clients from defence, nuclear generation, and nuclear new build, including innovative players from the fusion and SMR markets. You will have the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, taking advantage of global expertise to foster collaboration within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
