About the Role

As a Senior Java Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing core trading platforms for a leading financial institution. You'll be part of a dynamic team at Delta Capita, contributing to the development and maintenance of mission-critical systems that power risk management, pricing, and document creation for traders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of Java applications within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Estimate project timelines and resource allocation, ensuring efficient delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and coding standards.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for a skilled Java developer with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. You should have experience working with databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud technologies. A passion for learning new technologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality code are essential.

  • Proficiency in Java 8 platform, with Kotlin framework expertise being a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Solid understanding of unit testing principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
