Rate: £465.28 per day (Umbrella)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with expertise in cloud development to join our team at Experis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using Java and AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based applications using Java and AWS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud development
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development, with a focus on cloud-based applications
  • Strong expertise in AWS, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate
  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with investment banking and wealth management products
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented design principles
  • Strong skills in key J2EE technologies such as Core Java, EJB, JSP, JDBC, Java Mail, XML, JAXP, JAAS, JMS, JSTL, JTA, and batch
