About the Role

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project and engineering portfolio, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a staff basis, located in various UK sites and stations, with a hybrid working model. You will be supported and mentored by experienced project engineering management professionals and given the training and opportunities to develop and expand your project engineering management and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct site walkdowns to identify and document existing systems and equipment.
  2. Update and maintain existing documents and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  3. Collaborate with project planners to develop and implement new engineering solutions, including CETS, ECs, RAMs, and RFQs.
  4. Prepare and plan plant modifications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  5. Provide technical expertise and knowledge to troubleshoot activities and tasks, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
Requirements
  1. Hold a relevant engineering degree, HNC, or Chartership in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  2. Be adaptable and able to transfer existing skills to new problems, ideally from a design background.
  3. Be organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Have a passion for solving engineering design problems using CAD software.
  5. Meet certain residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK clearance.
