About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at EC&I Partners Limited. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation and reliability of our terminal control and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support, leadership, and guidance to projects, operations, and maintenance teams.
  • Safety Critical Equipment Routines: Execute safety critical equipment routines, ensuring correct installation, checks, and precautions are taken.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure that all contractors working on site comply with site safety rules and regulations.
  • Incident Reporting: Recommend and ensure actions on incident reports are recorded on the terminal's reporting system.
  • Consumable Stock Management: Monitor and report on consumable stock levels.
  • Inspections and Defects: Ensure inspections, defects, and repairs are recorded on the site maintenance control forms.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Complete scheduled maintenance activities, including instrument calibrations, tank gauging calibrations, cause and effect testing, SIF proof testing, and more.
  • Instrumentation Engineering Support: Provide instrumentation engineering support and fault finding to ensure operational performance of plant is optimized.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot communications, OT networking, basic PLC troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
  • Corrective Work: Complete corrective work and unplanned works, including replacing or upgrading instruments, hazardous area equipment remedial work, and more.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: HNC/NVQ or equivalent in Instrument Engineering discipline or time served apprenticeship.
  • CompEx Units: CompEx Units Ex 01 to 04 (Electrical).
  • BS7671: BS7671 18th Edition.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience working within a Petrochemical/chemical industry as an E&I technician.
  • Skills: Computer literate, including the use of Microsoft Office suite, IPAF 3A & 3B, PASMA mobile tower erection, and Working at Heights.
