Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with establishing and refining operational processes to adhere to quality benchmarks, analyzing performance metrics, and executing enhancements aimed at maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Your analytical and problem-solving abilities will be essential in addressing challenges related to operational processes, health, safety, and quality assurance.

Leading initiatives to boost productivity, enhance performance, and reduce unnecessary tasks and waste will be a significant aspect of your responsibilities.

Project Management

As the Lead Process Optimization Engineer, you will oversee projects focused on enhancing production workflows utilizing lean manufacturing methodologies, integrating new technologies and equipment, and optimizing production layouts.

Collaboration and Communication

Effective collaboration with engineering teams and various departments will be crucial for the successful launch of new products, the design of jigs and fixtures, conducting PFMEA, and ensuring seamless NPI implementation.

Continuous Improvement

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing enhancements in health, safety, quality, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • BTEC Level 5 (HND) or City & Guilds equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Icorr Level 2 certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in process implementation.
  • Proven experience as a Coating Specialist or in a similar capacity within the coatings sector.

Strong communication skills are essential for effective liaison with management, colleagues, and contractors.
