Accounts Supervisor

A leading firm of chartered accountants has a requirement for an Accounts Supervisor to join their accounts team in a position offering increasing responsibility, technical skill development, and career progression.
This is an exciting opportunity to be an Accounts Supervisor in a well-regarded, successful firm of Chartered Accountants. The office provides a superb environment to progress your career.
As an Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts and bookkeeping for various business entities, including partnerships, limited liability partnerships, sole traders, and limited company owner-managed businesses.
You will also prepare and review more complicated VAT returns and have ad hoc tax exposure. Your position will be client-facing with lots of involvement in meetings and building relationships to progress in your accounting career.
You will also be exposed to the latest cloud technology, where you will get to support your clients from the office but occasionally on site.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a client portfolio of accounts clients
- Reviewing and preparing statutory accounts and draft corporate tax computations
- Reviewing and preparing management accounts
- Overseeing bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Supporting junior members of staff
To be successful in this Accounts Supervisor position, you will need:
- AAT, ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience and at least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice or similar environment
This role offers:
- £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable
