Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Halewood area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules using CMMS software.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure high-quality machinery and equipment.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Support the management of maintenance supplies and inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance plant efficiency.
- Assist with projects as required, providing maintenance and installation support.
- Perform fault finding and equipment development to improve uptime.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and 18001 standards.
- Time-served engineer with a strong multi-skilled background.
- 18th Edition (BS7671) certification advantageous.
- Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a high-volume, highly regulated environment.
- Experience with complex manufacturing equipment, including welding, fabrication, and automated assembly.
- PC literate with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Understanding of Lock out Tag out (LOTO) procedures.
- Knowledge of DC tooling, barcode scanning, material handling, electrical testing, and vision systems advantageous.
- Experience with equipment for working at height and MEWPS.
- Plastic welding skills, including heat staking and ultrasonic welding advantageous.
