Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with a busy team to deliver a safe and nurturing environment, promoting independence and choice for our residents.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and colleagues, communicating in an open and honest manner.
  • Contribute to the creation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflective of each child's needs.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, applying theory to practice in a proactive and innovative way.
  • Organize and deliver recreational and social experiences for children and young people, promoting their engagement and participation.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices, including the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Requirements

  • Hold or be willing to complete the Diploma level 3/4 in Children and Young People.
  • Have a proactive approach to learning and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Be able to work shift patterns as part of a rota, including evenings and weekends.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.

Assessment Process
