Job Title: Release Manager

At Sanderson, we are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager to join our team. As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling release windows and cycles across a portfolio, managing risks and resolving issues that impact release scope, timelines, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Release Planning: Develop and maintain release plans, ensuring alignment with key partners and vendors.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact release scope, timelines, and quality.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve issues that impact release scope, timelines, and quality, working closely with engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Progress Tracking: Track and report progress to ensure releases are delivered on time, within budget, and meet expectations.
  • Communication: Communicate project plans, updates, and changes to stakeholders, including requirements, QA plans, timelines, and scope.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across different locations to ensure smooth releases.
  • Review and Approval: Conduct reviews (Release Readiness, Milestone, Go/No-Go) to ensure everything is on track.
  • Documentation: Create deployment plans, run books, and implementation guides.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly reports on release progress.
  • Stakeholder Management: Keep the business informed about release details and schedules.
  • Release Negotiation: Negotiate, plan, and oversee all release-related activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in the release process.
  • Go-Live Activities: Lead Go-Live activities, including executing deployment plans and checklists.
  • Automation: Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline software builds, integration, and deployment.
  • CAB Meetings: Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and potential blockers.
  • Release Repository: Maintain a repository with key release info, including build procedures and notification lists.
