About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (Scotland) Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative solutions that enable Amazon to adopt a scientific approach to talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop modern, mobile-first website experiences and services using native AWS technologies.
  • Exert technical vision and build highly scalable, architecturally sound solutions that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to defining and raising technical standards across the organization while working on Amazon's hardest problems.
Requirements
  • Experience in professional software development with a focus on cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience programming with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
