Pre-Operative Assessment Team Lead Opportunity

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Pre-Operative Assessment Team Lead to join our Pre-Assessment Department on a part-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a caseload of patients through the pre-operative assessment process, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete pre-operative assessments for patients, including taking a targeted history and assessing past medical, operative, and anaesthetic history.
  • Manage and interpret test results, and initiate referrals to appropriate staff as necessary.
  • Perform venepuncture, electrocardiogram, lung function testing, and request x-rays as per policy.
  • Identify patients with specific health issues and undertake relevant risk scoring.
Requirements:
  • Adult Nursing Degree and registration with the NMC.
  • Ability to work autonomously and experience of supervising staff.
