Position Overview

The City Recruiter is seeking a dedicated legal professional to join our client's Employers Liability division. This role is ideal for candidates who are either qualified lawyers or possess equivalent experience. We value determination, capability, and enthusiasm over formal qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal caseload of primarily fast-track employer's liability claims, both pre and post-issue.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in billing and handling litigated cases.
  • Exhibit genuine determination and a commitment to advancing cases through litigation to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Handle fast-track employer liability cases effectively, with experience in non-portal caseloads being essential.
  • Utilize knowledge of civil procedure rules, current litigation trends, and precedents to benefit client outcomes.
  • Showcase experience in managing litigated files from initiation through to trial or disposal hearings.
  • Familiarity with the Proclaim case management system is preferred.
  • Display a willingness to pursue challenging paths to achieve the best results for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary up to £55,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a generous commission structure paid monthly.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility available.
  • Opportunity for a hybrid working arrangement after the probation period.
  • Annual leave starting at 23 days, increasing to 26 days.
  • Participation in fee earner meetings and training sessions held bi-monthly.
  • Death in Service benefit equivalent to 2 times the salary.
