Position Overview:
As a Substation Inspector, you will play a crucial role in our maintenance and inspection team at SSE Enterprise. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections of equipment at various substation locations, ensuring that all sites are free from vegetation and accessible at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on both distribution (11kV) and primary substations (33kV).
- Gather and document accurate information to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Identify potential faults within the distribution network and escalate issues as necessary.
- Work independently while adhering to safety protocols and meeting tight deadlines.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve business processes.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A solid understanding of ESQC Regulations and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
- Basic IT skills for data collection using handheld devices and proficiency in Office 365 applications.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A basic level of fitness to handle physically demanding tasks, including the use of power and hand tools.
- A valid driving license, as travel may be required to meet business demands.
