About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team as a Lead Technical Authority. As a key member of our defence systems engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of complex defence systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and development of defence systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in defence systems engineering, with a strong understanding of system design, development, and integration.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of defence systems, including communication and sensor systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Ability to attain DV UK security clearance.
