Aerospace Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineering Team Lead to lead our aerospace engineering workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, experience in supervising a team, and expertise in utilising CNC machines.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the workshop team to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects.
- Oversee the manufacturing and maintenance of aerospace components using CNC machines.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to workshop personnel, including CNC machinists, to optimise their performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the workshop environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to prioritise and schedule work orders based on operational and customer requirements.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within an engineering workshop, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency with CNC machines, as well as familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee the daily activities of the workshop.
- Collaborate with the team on project planning and execution.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Interface with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and address any production challenges that may arise.
- Monitor production flow and maintain processes & procedures.
- Maximise cycle times and keep machines running to meet OEE targets.
Monday to Thursday 7.30pm Friday (39 hours)
Salary:£24 per hour depending on experience, equating to £48,672 per annum
